In 1967 Jerome Knudson built the first tractor on his farm near Long Creek North of Crosby, ND. It was powered by a Cummins engine producing 220 horspower. The green and white 310 HP and 360HP Knudson models were powered by 855 cubic inch Cummins engines.
In 1974 Knudson became the first and only manufacurer of self-leveling hillside tractors featuring “crab” steering. A new assembly plant was built in 1977 in Crosby, ND.
The Knudson was the most innovative 4WD tractor of its time and offered the quietest and most comfortable cab in the industry.
Tractors were produced until 1978 when the patent and rights were sold. The new owner produced yellow and white Knudson tractors. All models of the Knudson that Long Creek Toy Company produced were of the green and white models.
